LinkAnalysis: Analyzing Links on Web Pages
LinkAnalysis is a free Chrome add-on developed by Srikanth Rayabhagi. This add-on falls under the category of Browsers and specifically the subcategory of Add-ons & Tools. With its updated UI in Version 2.0, LinkAnalysis offers users a cleaner interface while maintaining its functionality.
When the user clicks on the LinkAnalysis icon in the address bar, a new page opens up with a report on the analyzed links. The add-on extracts domain names from the links on the page, sorts them, and categorizes them accordingly. This feature proves to be useful for analyzing link behavior on a webpage. Additionally, the add-on provides a link counter.
LinkAnalysis performs analysis at two levels: the top domain level and the sub-directory level. It enables users to gather all external links at once, while also displaying internal links. The add-on excludes JavaScript links and mailto links in the external links section, but users can still view them in the domain and sub-domain level analysis of the page.
